The Shekhtel House

This unique 19^th century detached house, decorated by the architect, Fyodor Shekhtel for the vodka manufacturer, Pyotr Smirnov, was restored by the Mirozdaniе Group of Companies in 2005. Each of the halls is done in its own historical style There are Ionic columns in the Greek Hall, a dark-green dining room consistent with the spirit of the late Renaissance, a staircase with convex wooden banisters that was characteristic of Shekhtel’s favourite Art Deco, a huge dining room in the Roman style ornamented with carvings depicting chivalrous themes and a luxurious Egyptian Hall...
